We're hiring a Bookkeeping Manager to lead that work. If you've spent years closing books and want a role where review, judgment, and team-building matter more than data entry, this is that role.
Why this job is different
We've automated the categorization, so this team spends its time where judgment matters: the transactions the system can't call, the cleanup projects, the close. You review, you decide, you teach.
The client base makes the work interesting. Some clients are practices, some hold real estate, some are travel doctors working state to state, and many are multi-state. Every set of books feeds directly into a tax return, so clean isn't a preference here. It's the product.
And it's fully remote. Work from anywhere in the US.
What you'll do
You'll own the bookkeeping portfolio: review monthly closes, run the hard catchup and cleanup projects, set the standard for what a finished set of books looks like, and develop the bookkeepers on your team.
You'll also work directly with the tax team, because the books you sign off on are the books their returns are built on. When something doesn't tie out, you're the one who finds out why.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping, with real review experience
- QuickBooks Online mastery. Cleanups and catchups included, not just maintenance.
- You know what tax-ready books look like and can work shoulder to shoulder with a tax team
- Management or mentorship experience is a big plus
